A wilder and more sustainable alternative in the Italian Alps…

Here’s the truth: the Dolomites are quite special, I totally get it, but I’m here to show you some beautiful locations in the Italian Alps for your wedding or elopement. But the other truth is they’re getting more and more crowded every year. I worked a lot in every corner of the Dolomites last year and I’ve counted an infinite number of drones, tourists invading (once)peaceful places and so on. This over-tourism is getting more and more unsunstainable every season. So here’s what I can do: I’ll tell you more about the wilder side of the italian alps, still very close to the Dolomites. This time I’m talking about the Lagorai mountain range, where this wedding took place, during the first days of May, not long after a spring snowfall.

The couple actually got married in the church in the closest village. Guests and the couple then headed towards the rifugio Serot, where many stayed for the night as well. The Lagorai mountain range sits at one edge of the Dolomites, separating Val di Fassa and Valsugana, two valleys in Trentino. It’s known for its wilder and rugged terrain and some long hikes. You won’t find lifts here, mountain tops need to be conquered “old style” ッ
