Parking at Rifugio Auronzo: Whatās New in 2025?
Due to the high number of visitors during the summer months (especially from late June to mid-September), the road from Misurina to Rifugio Auronzo is regulated by a limited traffic policy. For 2025, access is only possible with a pre-booked parking permit, and spots tend to sell out quicklyāno matter the day of the week or weather tendency.
How to Reserve Your Parking Spot
To access Rifugio Auronzo by car, you must book your parking online in advance through the official platform:
dos and don’ts
- Website: https://www.drei-zinnen.bz/en/ticket
- Booking Window: Reservations open approximately 30 days in advance
- You don’t necessarily need a license plate number (you CAN do without by deleting the vehicle with the appropriate red ātrash canā icon)
Important: Once parking spots are sold out, you wonāt be able to access the toll road by car, so early planning is essential.
Alternative Options If You Canāt Drive Up
If parking is unavailable or you prefer not to drive:
- Take the Shuttle Bus from Misurina or Dobbiaco/Toblach (From May 31 to October 12, 2025, a shuttle bus will run from Dobbiaco to the Auronzo Hut as an alternative to the Tre Cime toll road, requires reservation as well)
- Use the public bus line 444, which is frequent and also needs reservation in high season
- E-bike rental is a fun and eco-friendly option from Misurina (note: itās a long climb!)

Hi Nadia
Iām planning a trip mid to late October – do you know if the charges will be the same then in the off-peak season, and also how busy it is likely to be?
Iām hoping to go up in the afternoon and sleep in my van at the car park so I get an evening and a morning up there.
Thanks for your post and information – very helpful!
Dave
Hi David! Thank you for leaving a comment here, I’m happy you found this helpful too :)
I was thinking about doing the very same thing some time in September/October, hopefully with clients. Would you maybe be interested in some sort of photographic workshop?
Anyway, back to your question. From what I gather yes, the system is planned to be in place for the whole season, which normally goes on all the way until the end of October.
Once you book a parking slot, the ticket is valid for the next 12hrs, so you’ll probably need two consecutive slots if you intend to go there, sleep and hike. I hope my answer was clear š have fun and be kind to the mountains!

I tried to pre-book a parking lot ticket for September 16, 2025. However, the ticket web site doesn’t allow to select the date in September 2025. I entered 9/16/2025, and it doesn’t work either. Please advise! Thanks!
Hi Tony, thanks for reading my article. I believe spots for those date aren’t open for booking yet, however I’m not collaborating with the local tourist office, so I suggest you to get in touch with them to find more accurate answers.
Caution: Bad business practices of the organization running the parking for Tre Cime Di Lavaredo (PASS – Tre Cime Di Lavaredo). On 23 October, we booked a parking spot for 25 October. On the evening of 24 October, we received an email saying the road/parking would be closed for 25 October due to weather conditions and we could apply for a refund.
We followed the instruction to apply for a refund and got an error message on their website. The following day they said the process had been fixed and to re-apply. We have tried every day to apply for a refund and still get an error message. They have not responded to my daily emails (and phone calls) to their customer service email/phone numbers.
At this stage, I have been forced to put a payment block on my credit card and am warning as many people as possible about them.
Hello Michael, thank you for reading the article and taking the time to share your experience. All I can do is approve your comment, since I’ve got nothing to do with the society in charge of the parking and road permits. Sorry you experienced this though :(
